On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Veterinary Tradition Day, on July 10, 2020, at the Hai Phong City Convention Center, the Department of Animal Health in collaboration with the People's Committee of Hai Phong held an exhibition of achievements and results. outstanding results of veterinary medicine for 70 years. Attending were Mr. Phung Duc Tien, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development; Mr. Pham Van Dong, Director of Department of Animal Health, leaders of ministries and branches; leaders of departments and branches; scientists and related units.

On July 11, 1950, President Ho Chi Minh signed Decree 125-SL on the eradication of animal epidemiology and epidemics. This is the first legal document, marking the development history of Vietnam's veterinary industry. Ordinance 125-SL is also the foundation of the current legal system on veterinary medicine and is the basis for the Department of Animal Health to report to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and submit it to the Prime Minister for decision to recognize the Traditional Veterinary Day as the day of the year. 11/7 at Decision No. 664/QD-TTg dated 12/7/2005.
